Our Mission remains the same: to re-shape travel and tourism brands so they thrive while contributing to the long-term wellbeing of people and planet. We achieve this through in-depth analysis, creative communication, and by educating and guiding clients, communities, and the industry.
As part of our continued expansion into the US market - where we already operate and support clients - we are strengthening our team with a US & UK Press Relations Account Manager. This is a key role designed to build on existing momentum, deepen our capability across both markets, and ensure our clients benefit from consistently high-impact PR results on both sides of the Atlantic.
You may be based in the US or UK, but you must have demonstrable experience working with US travel, lifestyle, or consumer media, alongside a solid understanding of UK media expectations. Crucially, you will help harmonise approaches across both regions and train colleagues so our team continues to deliver market-appropriate storytelling, strategy, and pitching.
What You’ll Do:
US & UK Media Relations
- Lead and execute PR activity across both the US and UK markets, ensuring campaigns are locally relevant while aligned with client strategy.
- Strengthen and expand Lemongrass’ existing US media programmes, building on relationships and processes already in place.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with top-tier US and UK journalists, editors, freelancers, influencers, and industry partners.
- Shape and deliver US and UK media events, press trips, story angles, and brand activations.
- Draft, adapt, and distribute market-specific press materials, pitches, commentary, and content.
- Represent Lemongrass and clients confidently in both US and UK-facing meetings, briefings, and networking opportunities.
- Train and advise the wider team on differences between the two markets—including pitching style, messaging nuance, timelines, etiquette, and expectations.
Client Relationships / Account Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients operating across the US and UK, providing proactive, strategic communication and excellent client service.
- Support and enhance existing Lemongrass US processes while also leading on new account onboarding, making sure approaches are tailored for both regions.
- Prepare and present annual/quarterly PR plans, media insights, and opportunities for both markets.
- Ensure delivery excellence, clear reporting, and consistent project visibility for clients.
Strengthening & Scaling Our US Market Offering
- Build on established US relationships, processes, and results, helping accelerate and professionalise our existing US service.
- Identify emerging opportunities in the US market and translate these into actionable strategies for clients.
- Collaborate closely with agency leadership to refine our US proposition, positioning, and new business opportunities.
- Act as an internal champion for US media understanding, contributing tools, training, and frameworks to strengthen cross-team expertise.
Creative & Strategic Thinking
- Bring US and UK-specific insights into ideation and creative council sessions, ensuring campaigns resonate across both markets.
- Keep ahead of travel trends, industry narrative shifts, and cultural nuances in each region.
- Align client PR plans to market-specific goals and consumer behaviours.
Digital PR, Data & Reporting
- Evaluate PR performance across both markets and communicate insights clearly.
- Incorporate SEO understanding and link-building considerations when appropriate for US and UK campaigns.
- Use tools like Semrush, Ahrefs, GA and GSC to track impact and guide recommendations.
What you’ll have:
- 3–5+ years of PR experience with significant exposure to both US and UK media—ideally within travel, lifestyle, or sustainability.
- Strong existing US media contacts and a proven understanding of US newsroom structures, expectations, and pitching behaviour.
- Demonstrable understanding of the differences between US and UK PR, from media lead times to narrative styles to audience behaviour.
- Project management experience—confident leading multi-market campaigns and coordinating teams.
- A proactive mindset, creative thinking, and confidence advising clients.
