This page celebrates the progress we’ve made as a certified B Corp and reaffirms our commitment to keep raising the bar.
Here you’ll find our 2025 Impact Report, alongside stories from the initiatives we’re proud to support and insights into how we’re working to ensure our work delivers meaningful, lasting impact.
Our 2025 Impact Report
We believe travel can be a force for good. When done responsibly, it connects cultures, supports communities and strengthens destinations socially, environmentally and economically, while creating meaningful experiences.
Our 2025 Impact Report reflects this belief. It outlines how we continue to align our work with our values, from embedding more thoughtful practices across client projects to strengthening sustainability within our day-to-day operations. The report captures the progress we’ve made, the impact we’re seeing, and the areas where we know we need to do better.
Transparency and accountability remain central to our approach. In this report, we share key milestones, from further reducing carbon emissions on press trips to deepening our focus on team wellbeing. We are open about how our team is rewarded, the targets that guide our decisions, and the goals we’re working towards. Together, these commitments reflect our ongoing responsibility to create positive change for the communities and environments we engage with.
The Lemongrass Green Team
To ensure sustainability remains at the heart of everything we do, we have established a dedicated Green Team, led by our first-ever Director of Nature and Director of People and Culture. This team drives key initiatives, from collaborating with volunteer and charity partners to refining our carbon reduction plan and embedding a dynamic sustainability tracker into client reporting.
But the work doesn’t stop at environmental impact. The Green Team also champions diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across our operations. Together, they’re helping us create a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
Volunteering and charity partners
We embrace a 4-day working week, allowing our team to dedicate time to volunteer within communities across the country. We’re hands-on and love getting involved, whether it’s rolling up our sleeves for a practical project or supporting a local cause. In 2024, our team collectively volunteered 174 hours with five community spaces and charities.
From walking dogs and hosting raffles to gardening, we’re always eager to make a difference. We’ve also spent time doing arts and crafts with students and preparing charity shops for launch—no task is too big or small!
We have several volunteer and charity partners, including:
- Cherwell Collective
- Education for all Morocco
- Dogs for Good
- Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary
- YourSpace
Our partnership with Education for All Morocco came in response to the devastating 6.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Morocco on 8th September 2023. Wanting to help with recovery, we teamed up with Education for All Morocco, which provides college education for girls in rural areas.
Through our efforts, we have raised £1,645 to support the ongoing funding needs of the charity, covering accommodation, nutritious meals, school materials, computers, books, clothing, and transport for students to visit home on weekends.
By the end of 2024, we had donated a total of £5,000 to 29 charities close to the hearts of our team members. We matched individual donations (up to £250 per person per year) and raised funds as a team, supporting causes that reflect our shared values.
Pinwheel
One of our proudest announcements for 2025 is our partnership with Pinwheel through The Conscious Travel Foundation Climate Fund. Pinwheel is an innovative platform that enables both individuals and businesses to fund carbon removal projects, habitat restoration, and biodiversity protection. By connecting people with impactful environmental initiatives, Pinwheel helps drive real, measurable change in the fight against climate change.
Through this partnership, the Lemongrass team was given the opportunity to choose projects that align with their passions and values. The selected initiatives included wolf protection, oyster and seagrass restoration, forest restoration in the Andes, and woodland and hedgerow creation.
We believe in doing things differently—so we don’t engage in media gifting. Instead, we invited members of the media who attended our Media Roadshow to vote for one of these impactful projects. As a result, we donated £4,000 from the roadshow to support the chosen Pinwheel projects, contributing to these vital environmental efforts.
From 2026, the team has evolved the portfolio of projects supported, reflecting an ongoing commitment to impactful climate and nature action, that includes a regenerative agriculture project across Europe, land restoration in Tanzania and Kenya through rainwater harvesting, and greenhouse gas destruction.
Carbon reduction plan
Reducing our carbon footprint is a top priority. Our Carbon Reduction Plan includes setting carbon budgets, enforcing a green travel policy, and encouraging collaboration. As a proud Silver Carbon Literate Organisation, our entire team actively promotes a low-carbon culture. We’ve learned valuable lessons through training—check out five key takeaways here.
We work with clients to eliminate internal flights, reduce hotel emissions, and encourage responsible travel, such as train travel across Europe and electric vehicles. For two years, we've turned down work with cruise lines and private jet operators and avoided first and business-class flights due to higher emissions.
Our goal is lasting change, advocating for systemic shifts and collaboration for sustainable travel. Starting this year, every itinerary will prioritise low-carbon options with CO2 comparisons for European trips.
Our partners and initiatives
The Conscious Travel Foundation
We’re proud members of The Conscious Travel Foundation, which advocates for a more sustainable and meaningful tourism industry in response to the global climate and biodiversity crisis. Through collaboration, education, and advocacy, we work together to protect the planet and spread the message of responsible travel. We’ve also contributed 120 hours of pro-bono work in content, PR, and communications to support their mission.
